Q: How often should I cut my dogs nails?
A: Every 4 weeks at the minimum, but if your dogs nails are really long and you’re looking to really get them to recede in length it’s recommended to come ever 2 weeks until the desire length is reached. Inside the dogs nails are the “quicks” which are comprised of blood vessel and nerve endings, once those become exposed to oxygen the tips die and there for stop growing. It’s important to keep exposing while the quick is exposed in order to get the nail to shorten.
